The Amanwella is situated in a mature coconut grove fronting the beach, close to the fishing village of Tangalle in southern Sri Lanka. The cuisine of the Restaurant, which is located adjacent to the Arrival Pavilion, combines Asian and Mediterranean influences with an emphasis on fresh local seafood. In addition guests can enjoy drinks, snacks and a selection of cigars in the Lounge Bar, alfresco dining, simple lunches, fruits and antipasti at the Pool Terrace as well as BBQ, seafood and salads in the Beach Club. The Amanwella has 30 suites, which are identical in layout and design. All of the free-standing Suite houses range along the hillside above the beach and are built facing the sea. Ocean Suites are situated on the lower levels of the hill and enjoy uninterrupted views of the coconut grove and beach. All accommodations feature floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, balconies and courtyards with banquettes and plunge pools.
