Castell Son Claret is set within the most magical surroundings near the village of Es Capdellà in the Mallorcan municipality of Calvià. The Michelin-starred restaurant Zaranda has found its new home at Castell Son Claret and is now open for connoisseurs of culinary perfection. Numerous awards such as “Chef of the Year” and “Newcomer of the Year” testify to the passion and enthusiasm of Fernando and his team. Castell Son Claret’s philosophy of relaxation and rejuvenation is rooted in the principle of “Inner and Outer Glow”. The Castell’s 325 acres of grounds – comprising gardens and natural landscape – offer a unique blend of stillness, fragrance and beauty, as well as opportunities for physical exercise and activity, including a 4.5-mile circular trail through the most stunning scenery, for cycling, running or walking. It provides a large pool, surrounded by spacious sun lounge areas with breathtaking views across the valley and a wide range of beauty and “well-ageing” treatments, including open-air massage treatments in the “Pocos Nuvols” tents, set amidst the unspoilt beauty of nature. Treatments for individuals or couples are available in the tastefully designed spa.
A total of thirty-eight rooms and suites are available in the main building, the former stables and other out buildings, some with direct access to their own private garden, and several of these with their own pool. In addition, all guests have access to the panoramic main pool, which uses water from our historic well and offers spectacular views across the valley. This sense of luxury is reflected in the interior design of the rooms. Lightness and generosity are expressed in their contemporary design, successfully uniting comfort and function. Solid oak and sand- coloured marble floors with underfloor heating give the rooms a warm feel in every sense. The bedding, made from highly mercerised sateen cotton, has been designed especially for the Castell. Light and temperature in each room can be individually controlled. Generosity and elegance also dominate the bathrooms, fitted with rain shower heads and, some of them, with free- standing bathtubs.
