Desroches Island

Located only 5˚ south of the equator in the Amirante Archipelago in the far outer reaches of the Seychelles, Desroches Island offers 14 kilometres of unspoilt beaches and lush forests as well as absolute tranquility, as it is the only resort on this privately owned island. The pristine and vibrant marine ecosystem provides a wide range of water activities such as snorkelling, fishing and scuba diving. Furthermore, the island houses the biggest giant tortoise breeding sanctuary in the world. At the Escape Spa, guests may enjoy massages and other treatments basend on ancient eastern principles. The resort also features a yoga deck and the Tone Gym. Le Veloutier restaurant serves international cuisine with Creole inspiration as well as fresh seafood from the Indian Ocean in a relaxed atmosphere.

All of the high end accommodation include Kayaks and bicycles, affording guests the means to explore this island paradise on both land and sea. The eighteen Beach Suites are ideally placed along the west-facing beach around the central area. Each air-conditioned beach suite offers privacy with its own veranda, lounge area a covered outdoor bath and outdoor shower. The Beach Villas offer views of the large infinity swimming pool. The Madame Zabre Villa has three private swimming pools. All three glass-fronted, sea facing bedrooms are air-conditioned, with indoor and outdoor showers and an outdoor bath. Each bedroom leads onto a large deck with swimming pool and loungers.
