Hotel Americano is situated in the center of Chelsea’s gallery and art district. The nearby High Line and Hudson River Park are within walking distance and can be reached with hotel’s own bicycles. Mexican architect Enrique Norten transformed the former parking garage in a 10 stories high building with a quasi industrial metal mesh facade. The interior design, which has been created by Arnaud Montigny, combines Japanese ryokan minimalism with New Yorker style and features natural materials, plain furniture and low lighting . The Hotel Americano has several bars and restaurants, like The Americano, serving French dishes with Latin influences, the El Privado or the Americano On-The-Go. An outdoor swimming pool is located on the rooftop next to The Grill At La Piscine restaurant. During winter the space transforms into an indoor lounge, currently called the SNOB and modeled after a ski chalet.
The Hotel Americano features 56 guestrooms with wooden platform beds and city views. In-room iPads provide information about galleries, bars and restaurants in Chelsea. The accommodation size varies between 20 m²-40 m² depending on the room category.
