Following a complete renovation, LUX* South Ari Atoll reopened in September 2016. The luxury resort is located on the largest and most beautiful island of the Maldives in the south of the Ari Atoll. The international airport in the capital Malé is approximately 100 kilometres away and can be reached in around 45 minutes by a domestic ight and boat transfer. Culinary variety is the utmost priority here. A total of eight restaurants offer the guests a first-class dining experience with delicacies from all over the world. The treatment rooms of the wonderful zen-inspired LUX* Me Spa are partially suspended over the water. As well as a range of activities including yoga, meditation and qigong, all of which are led by the wellness concierges, it is also possible to enjoy head-to-toe relaxation with various massages and treatments. The traditional Chinese teahouse is another wonderful place to relax the mind, body and soul. Regular workshops led by renowned experts make every holiday here unique. Whether a painting session with the artist Corinne Dalle Ore, a photography course with well-known travel photographer Michael Freeman, or learning the art of meditation guided by Bhavnath Gansman, guests at the LUX* South Ari Atoll will enjoy a holiday that is second to none.
The 193 pavilions and villas are enthroned on stilts in the turquoise water of the Indian Ocean. For the refurbishment, renowned design studio P49 Deesign drew inspiration from the gentle ocean colours and organic shapes. The landscaped gardens featuring an abundant array of trees and plants were designed by award-winning landscape architect Stephen Woodhams. The eastern side of the atoll with 46 romantic pool villas is reserved for adults only. Most of the villas have their own pool.
Rates start at EUR 354 per room per night.
