Tierra Atacama

Tierra Atacama is a boutique hotel situated on the edge of San Pedro de Atacama, an oasis in the world’s driest desert, at an elevation of 2450 meters. Incorporating the old loam walls into the entrance of the hotel, Tierra Atacama was built on the site of an ancient cattle corral. Guests can join the daily excursions or explore the weird landscapes of the Atacama desert on their own, like volcanoes, geysers and salt lakes, the exceptional fauna or the clear starry sky. The Uma Spa provides an outdoor swimming pool, a jacuzzi and an indoor heated pool with water jets, beds of bubbles and other features. Some spa treatments provide natural desert elements such as volcanic mud, lithium rich salt or desert herbs. The menus at Tierra Atacama contain traditional Chilean and Andean dishes prepared with regional, fresh ingredients.

All rooms are designed with handmade furniture and accessories made of local marterials in the authentic Atacameñan style and offer a view of Licancabur volcano. There are three different room categories: the Oriente rooms are more romantic with outdoor shower and a private terrace; the Poniente rooms overlooking the Salt Mountain Range and the hotel gardens; the Family rooms sleep up to six people, also with a large private terrace.

Rates start at EUR 875 for two nights up to EUR 2573 for seven nights per person. The All-inclusive package includes the transfers between the hotel and the Calama aiport, American breakfast, lunch and dinner, open bar, daily excursions and the use of the hotel facilities.

The TripAdvisor community’s recommendation amounts to 94% and they also named Tierra Atacama the Travelers’ Choice® 2013 Winner in Top Hotels.
