Alila Villas Uluwatu is situated on an elevated plateau along the southern coastline of Bali on the Bukit Peninsula, conveniently located 30 minutes from Ngurah Rai International airport, and 15 minutes from Uluwatu Temple. With its many lounge areas and ocean views extending all the way to the horizon, this resort is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Excursions can also be organised upon request. Alila Villas Uluwatu has three dining venues serving excellent cuisine. The Warung offers wholesome Indonesian and Balinese dishes in a relaxed atmosphere, enjoyed together with the other diners or at your own private table. Cire serves a tantalising menu of gourmet comfort food, created with the best fresh seasonal and organic produce available, sourced as locally as possible. And then there is Quila, whose name combines ‘qui’, which stands for ‘he who transforms’, with Alila, aptly reflecting the transformative dining experience presented within its exclusive setting. At Quila, diners seeking a culinary thrill are taken on an exhilarating ride for all the senses in a daily-changing dinner menu comprising a variety of different plates, artfully tailored by Executive Chef Marc Lorés Panadés. Each plate is perfectly sized to deliver a powerful flavour punch, a witty bite, or a provocative shot of surprise. At Spa Alila, a fusion of Asian and Western wellness traditions can be experienced that combine various therapy techniques with Spa Alila’s all-natural products as well as products by German luxury cosmetics brand Babor. Besides indulging their senses at the spa, guests can take advantage of the 50-metre pool along the cliff edge, the 24-hour gym, or begin the day with morning yoga in the Sunset Cabana, the architectural icon of Alila Villas Uluwatu.
Each individual villa is specifically designed and constructed to follow an environmentally sustainable framework, with its own pool and private cabana overlooking the Indian Ocean. The 65 villas showcase contemporary interiors enhanced with touches of nature and traditional Balinese accents – reflected in planes of wood, water, stone and rattan. Walkways and bridges connect the relaxation pavilions and pools to the spacious living areas. The open-plan design, unique flat lava rock roofs and bamboo ceilings allow the gentle sea breeze to circulate throughout all rooms of the villas.
Rates start at EUR 671 per room per night.
